LDL is a double-sided self-adhesive viscoelastic mat for sandwich constructions in plywood, chipboard and metal. Bitumen-impregnated (non-water-absorbing), it delivers reliable structure-borne noise damping in bus & train floors, machinery, sound cabinets and boats. Size: 1000 × 1020 mm · thickness: 1.4 mm · weight: ≈ 1.4 kg/m².

Best results are achieved in symmetrical sandwiches (equal outer sheet thicknesses), though LDL also performs well in asymmetrical builds up to about 1:4 thickness ratio. Typical example testing shows around 5 dB noise reduction on machinery panels.

• Fast installation: double-sided adhesive (≈ 25 N/cm²); cut with knife, scissors or die.
• Robust in use: temperature range −30 °C to +90 °C; bitumen core does not absorb water.
• Process guidance: condition materials 48 h at room temperature; press sandwich at 3 kg/cm² for 5 minutes.
